Kladruber
History:
Kladruber
is the oldest Czech breed, Czech breeding unique object, whose origin goes back to the beginning of modern times. Simultaneously it is the only horse breed which was specially bred for ceremonial sovereigns“ purposes. It has constantly been keeping its Baroque character till these days. The horse got its name after the stud farm in Kladruby nad Labem. In 1995 the Kladruber was embraced as a cultural heritage. In 2002 Kladruber together with the complex of Kladruby stud was appointed as a National cultural heritage. This breed was also taken under the protection of FAO, special organization of OSN. It was also included into the UNESCO World Heritage List as a cultural heritage of mankind
Usage:
Current use of Kladruber horses is diverse. They achieve excellent results in chariote sport where their suitability has been presented by our charioteers with raven team of horses on the hippodromes. They are also used for dressage and recreational riding. This horse is perfect for  hippotherapy for its even-tempered character.
Appearance:
A typical feature of Kladrubers is its head with a big distinctive living eye, he high-set, powerful and well-arched neck with a less noticeable tap, wide and deep chest, strong broad stern, strong bones, allowing the typical scoop steeper movement - elastic, cadenced and large dishes with high action forelegs on the trot. The Kladruber possesses a deep, broad chest and sound legs with large joints and hooves. Their legs are unfeathered, though the mane and tail are thick and flowing, and the features are lean rather than fleshy. It is kept only in two colours, black and white horse

Moravian blue rabbit

History:

Moravian blue rabbit belongs to the national breeds of rabbits. It is our original breed and it was bred more than a hundred years ago.

Usage:

 This rabbit is used for both meat and fur.

 Appearance:

 It belongs to large breeds of rabbits with desired weight 5.5 kg and more.The colour is steel blue with lighter shade.

White short-haired goat

Characteristics:

They belong to Czech breeds and they are very resistant.  The weight of a billy goat is 70-90 kg, the weight of a goat is 50-70kg.

Usage:
High milk productivity
The minimum milk yield is 2,5 kg milk a day, with milk fat percentage of 3%
Fertility of these goats is 160%.

Appearance:
Short, soft fur without any pigment,
a medium body scope.

Karakulska sheep

Characteristics:
The most famous representative of fur breeds of sheep.
It comes from Central Asia.

Appearance:
It is a medium-sized breed, the weight is 40-60 kg, the height is 65 cm.
Adult sheep has gray or brown color of the wool, the lambs have black wool.
They belong to the fat pachytail sheep.

Usage:
The lambs are bred for pelts so-called astrakhan.
Average sheepshearing are 2kg from ewes and 3kg from rams.

Prestice pigHistory:
Prestice black - pied pig is the original Czech breed of pigs, which is derived from the original lop-eared pigs from the west Bohemia.
In 1964, Prestice black- pied was recognized as a self-contained breed of pig in 1964. That time Prestice farmers were given a high state award for outstanding work.
 
Since 1996, the breed has been bred as a genetic resource in closed population and serves as a gene reserve of the Czech Republic in the case of the main breed“s infection with diseases.

of Prestice pigs“ meat can be used for special meat products. It is possible to find from historical sources that the meat of Prestice pigs was used for the production of ham and for cut of meat.

Czech gold brindle chickenCzech gold brindle chicken is an old and the most common breed in Bohemia. Czech gold brindle chicken is a purely Czech breed with the genetic foundation of many centuries ago. Birds are mostly kept in gold brindle colour only. Rooster has gold feathers on the neck. The feather on the back is brown to gold-red. Wings feathers are brown with green mirror. Tail is black. Breast is black with gold brindle. The beak is slate to dark brown with the yellow end. Hens are completely light brown gold brindled. On the head there is a single red comb. Legs are slate blue colour. Hens produce 160 eggs per year of 55-60 g weight. Chickens hatch out light brown.       14.
Czech gold brindle chicken is an old breed of chicken originating in Bohemia. The first mention dates back from 1205, when a flock of these chickens was presented to Danish King Valdemar II as a wedding gift on his marriage to Czech princess Dagmar of Bohemia. Nowadays it is endangered breed. The predecessor of the gold brindle chicken in the North of Europe under this name has been preserved to the present day, the findings of our breeders, who travel to Denmark to the exhibition of small pets. Czech gold brindle hen is a light type hens, incredibly light and hardy. Compared to the other breeds of poultry it consumes considerably less feed. If the hen has enough space, it can care of itself from spring to autumn. The gold brindle chicken is one of the two Czech breeds of hens. Even if they are fighting for their survival, the gold brindle chickens do not have genetic  problems. They have wider breeding base and they are raised in our country as well as abroad, especially in Germany. German breeders raise these hens not only for their benefits but also because of the slickness of the golden colour in which darker sprinkling stands out beautifully. Czech gold brindle chickens are particularly bred because of laying. When they have the adequate nutrition, they lay around 180 eggs a year. The weight of an egg is 60 g and the color of the shell is pale cream. Because these hens are hardy they lay eggs even in winter. Meat comparing to the other light poultry breeds, such as walnut or leghorns, is better. A hen weighs is from 2 to 2.50 kg and roosters can achieve up to 2.80 - 2.50 kg of weight.

Czech turkeyCzech turkey is a breed of turkey reared on a long-term basis in the territory of Bohemia and Moravia. It is well adapted to the conditions of small farms. It excels in resistance against the cold, by relatively fast growth and very good skills; it has good meat yield and grazing use. The instinct of sitting on eggs is maintained. Czech turkeys are medium - heavy type, with larger body frames and a relatively massive, long, broad somewhat pear-shaped torso. The head is relatively large and long, densely dotted with thick warts from blue to deep blue colour, which blushes when the excitement increases. On the forehead there is a groove, from which a fleshy growth grows when the excitement increases and falls on the turkey“s side. The beak is thick and long, the neck is medium - long. The tail is long, mounted in the back, so the line goes to the ground. When excited the turkey stands up and open it into the fan. Feet are shorter to medium long, strong, well developed and with spurs. The weight of an adult turkeycock ranges from 11-14 kg, turkey hen has from 5.5-7 kg. This breed is commonly found in the wild, it has white-lined colouring and grey wild white-lined.

Czech red - pied cattle

Characteristics:
Traditional combined Czech breed of cattle.

Useage:
Milk and meat

Appearance:
Czech red - pied cattle is cattle of a  medium to large body frame  with proportionately strong bones and good musculature.
The features of milkiness are showed off, cows have deep and capacious chest, well shaped and capacious udder of half – ovoided shape. The breed is horned.
 Cow“s coat colour is red - piebald, the head and lower limbs are predominantly white but coloured areas predominate.
 Adult bulls weigh 1200-1300 kg, the height in the sacrum of adult cows is 140-144 cm, 152-160 cm in the sacrum of bulls.
